Catalyst Messenger is a software application that is being developed by me, jdev082. While it isn't officially under this name yet it is soon to be.

The New Platform

This platform is a websocket based chat API called 'ChatKC'. Originally developed purely for youtuber MattKC's streams the community has taken part in development of clients and bridges as well as additional servers.

The Goal

The goal is to create an Electron client that is to be developed for all x86_64 platforms that will support features such as tabs and dark mode. Catalyst Messenger will not support DMs (direct messages) as there is no real world way to support this via the ChatKC protocol.

Why Catalyst Messenger?

Catalyst messenger, while not as powerful as Discord. Will basically do the same thing. You can talk with your friends and join in on stream chat using this client.
